At NIHAO, we love learning about different cultures and places as much as we love teaching Mandarin and Chinese culture. That’s why this summer, our camps are all about expanding your child’s curiosity for the incredible world around them.

We love the way their eyes light up and their excitement explodes with new experiences.

But besides having fun, tasty, and exciting adventures, we know that growing up in a multicultural environment has many benefits for young, growing minds, including:

🌟Cultural Awareness and Sensitivity: Children raised in a multicultural environment are more aware of and sensitive to different cultures, traditions, and perspectives. This fosters respect and appreciation for diversity.

🌟Enhanced Communication Skills: Exposure to multiple languages and communication styles can improve a child's linguistic abilities and adaptability in various social contexts.

🌟Broader Worldview: A multicultural upbringing allows children to see the world from different perspectives, encouraging open-mindedness and reducing prejudice.

🌟Stronger Identity Formation: Engaging with diverse cultures helps children understand and appreciate their own cultural background, contributing to a stronger and more complex sense of identity.

🌟Greater Cognitive Flexibility: Navigating multiple cultural norms and practices enhances cognitive flexibility, making children better problem-solvers and more adaptable in different situations.

🌟Increased Empathy: Experiencing different ways of life fosters empathy, as children learn to understand and relate to people from various backgrounds.

🌟Better Social Skills: Interacting with a diverse group of people helps children develop strong social skills, such as cooperation, conflict resolution, and teamwork.

🌟Preparation for a Globalized World: A multicultural upbringing equips children with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in an increasingly interconnected and globalized world, both personally and professionally.

Take a peek at some of the globetrotting adventures our NIHAO kids are having at summer camp, building on each of these skills and qualities.
